About Bhandardara Fireflies Camping

The glow-worms and fireflies wander for mating and lots of fireflies accumulate together on a tree and reflect sparkling lights in the dark nights.

About Bhandardara Campsite
- Our Campsite is a lake touch property and situated at a peaceful location away from the crowd.
- Bhandardara is one of the place with less pollution, where one can see the milky way and numerous stars with the naked eyes. If one is tried rest under the open sky and take view of a millions stars.
Fireflies Festival Information
Pre-monsoon is the perfect time for the fireflies mating and you can see the millions of fireflies fluttering about in the dismal environment. They are called by different names in English it is called Fireflies, In Marathi Kajawa and in Hindi it is called Jugnoo. The flashes of fireflies on a warm summer night remind many of us of our carefree childhood sense of wonder. With firefly season almost upon us, their enchanting light displays will soon spark our curiosity and capture our imaginations.
There are about 2,000 firefly species and still much unknown information and riddles from our professionals to be covered.
The following things we know or we have learned about firefly.
- Fireflies belong to the beetle order; they are not flies.
- They complete their cycle of life and die before the monsoon begins.
- Fireflies are among the many species that are bioluminescent, meaning that they can produce their own light.
- Male fireflies focus on finding a mate.
- Female fireflies sit immobile and only flash back when they see a male fireflies with a particularly impressive display.

Note:
- The sighting of fireflies is a natural phenomenon that depends on weather conditions. We can hope to have a beautiful experience of exploring nature in their presence.
- Participants have to pay forest entry charges at the Bhandardara toll gate.
- Please try to arrive on time, as the forest department will not allow late entry.
- Please Inform me about your medical issue in advance.
- Participants will be responsible for their own belongings and health issues.
- Avoid wearing gold or other costly jewelry.
- If it rains, stay will be in the shed.
- We cannot control the weather, so please bear with us in providing you with the best alternative in that situation
- The Trek leader's decision will be final and binding.
- For Jain food, we required a minimum of 4-5 participants.
- For Kasara transport we required a minimum of 8 participants.
- Please carry a blanket or 2 bedsheets.
